The day was commemorated by Japan Postal Administration with the release of 10 postage stamps celebrating the mountains viz., Mt. Asahi, Mt. Yari, Mt. Iwate, Mt. Daisen, Kuju Mountain range... It also commemorated the animals like Japanese Guinea Pig ; Flora such as Komakusa and Viola ; mountain Butterfly and the Bunting bird...
