Several of his plays and lyrics have become very famous and he was fondly remembered as "Kavirayar" in the film industry...
Acknowledged with "Kalaimamani" award by the Tamilnadu Government, Udumalai Narayana Kavi was commemorated by India Post with the release of a 5-rupees postage stamp in the year 2008...
