Also, this led to Bhoodan Movement which he started in the year 1951 whereby he distributed lands donated to him by the land owners to the landless poor...
He was the first recipient of Ramon Magsaysay Award for community leadership in the year 1958... Posthumously Vinoba Bhave was awarded Bharat Ratna in 1983...
Acharya Vinoba Bhave was commemorated by India Post with the release of a postage stamp in the year 1983...
